Want to sew a little dress for now, for spring or for this summer?! The new Palerme pattern, available in a baby version from 6 months to 4 years , allows you to make stylish little outfits, whether sportswear or chic thanks to its options and choice of materials. Palerme is a comfortable dress or blouse , buttoned in the front, which comes in 2 sleeve lengths. For older girls and women, don't panic... ikatee recommends 2 similar patterns below if you fall for the Palerme style.

Palermo offers 2 shapes in 2 sleeve lengths:

  • blouse or dress length
  • short or long sleeves
  • loose fit with gathered skirt
  • front side buttoning
  • bust lined in an optional contrasting fabric
  • set- in sleeves
  • long sleeves with smocked cuffs
  • English seams on the sides and under the sleeves for a beautiful finish
  • sewn in woven or mesh
  • all seasons: to be used throughout the year
  • intermediate sewing level

The video of the assembly is available

The video, which is freely accessible , covers all the assembly steps and also offers sewing tips. The short-sleeved and long-sleeved versions are fully explained, as well as the small assembly variations between knit and woven fabrics.

...and what about the older ones then?

For those who would like to be inspired by Palermo to create blouses or dresses for children or women, no problem! Ikatee recommends the Elona or Sakura patterns , both similar to Palermo, and both available in children from 3 to 12 years old and in women. Sakura , with its bib at the bust, can easily be embellished with an opening in the front (you can use the video to help you assemble the Palermo placket). Optionally, the bust can be lengthened. Elona can be "hacked" quickly by creating a front cutout symmetrical to the bust opening.
