Rio, the blouse with multiple collars

They were eagerly awaited, and here they are: RIO and RIO kids, our two new blouse patterns. With 18 different collar options, from the most classic to the most extravagant, we play with gathers, curves, scallops, and ruffles. It's THE essential pattern, but not so basic, which allows you to have fun while starting from a simple base. You'll thus obtain very different models... with a single pattern! We love it!

  • Mixed pattern
  • Button-front blouse
  • Short or long sleeves
  • Neat finishes (English seams and cleanliness strip)
  • 18 neckline and collar options

This new pattern is available in two size ranges: RIO, from 1 month to 4 years, and RIO kids, from 3 to 12 years. The sewing level is easy to intermediate, depending on the collar options chosen. Rio is available in pocket or PDF format, with the projectable file included in the PDF version for those using the pattern projection technique. A video tutorial also accompanies the pattern.

Choice of materials

The Rio blouse is designed to be sewn in a warp and weft configuration. You can use a wide variety of materials, and why not even mix and match them? For beginners, we recommend starting with stable materials like poplin, seersucker, or lightweight denim. You can then experiment with textured materials like double gauze, corduroy, or viscose linen.

  • Warm season: poplin, gingham, plumetis, chambray, linen, double gauze, broderie anglaise, seersucker, viscose
  • Cold season: corduroy, soft denim, flannel, fine gabardine

The pretty finishes

Rio is the perfect pattern to show off your pretty labels: a size label to slip into the back, and a message label on the chest pocket.

Croquet is back, and we're fans here! Whether it's a maxi or mini croquet, it'll liven up the neckline of all your creations. For the baby version, count on 1 meter of croquet, for the child version, count on 1 to 2 meters.

White croquet 8 mm and 30 mm.
8 mm marine croquet.
