Inspired by the minimalist aesthetic of Japanese fashion, Macao is a jacket or vest with clean lines. This pattern offers a relaxed fit with dropped shoulders. A neckline band adds structure and can be embellished with optional buttons. It's a quick and relatively simple project with attractive finishing; the flat-felled seams create strong and elegant seams on both the right and wrong sides, making the jacket reversible if you use a jacquard or double-sided quilted fabric.

Inspirations
Macao is available in both woven and knitted fabrics. In denim, corduroy, gabardine, or canvas, the jacket has a casual, urban style. In quilted or wool fabrics, it becomes warm and ultra-comfortable. Beautiful jacquards will make it chic and original. Thick linen is a more summery alternative.
Macao can also become a slightly oversized vest when sewn in French terry, sweatshirt fabric, or even fleece or sherpa.
