What characterizes Ida is her pretty ruffled plastron on the front. We find of course the small stand-up collar typical of the beginning of the 20th century (collar which is not mandatory in our pattern). We wanted a structured cut, flared at the bottom with a nice volume created by the gathers on the front and on the back. At the top of the back: a drop that you close with a button (or ribbon, you're the boss).
We also worked well on the finishes. Thus, many seam allowances are invisible: we have beautiful finishes and we thus limit the seams that could scratch!
Options sides : it can be sewn in version:
Blouse or Dress • With collar or without collar • With long sleeves or with kimono sleeves (short)
In total, no less than 8 possible versions for sweet Ida!
And good luck choosing because we find the 8 versions super beautiful!

In what fabric?
Again, lots of possibilities! It all depends on the style you want: plains / checks (tartan, Gingham..) / stripes - double gauze / English embroidery / Swiss dots / chambray / viscose or even Jersey (yes you read that right, the pattern works really well in jersey (without collar), material that gives it a more casual but still elegant style) etc etc...
The technical points?
The assembly of the plastron on the front, the sheath technique to hide the seam allowances, and if you make the version with a collar: the assembly of the collar.
Rest assured, all the steps are clearly explained and illustrated in the step by step as well as in a video that will show the entire assembly!
