The idea of this collab: a blouse that can be turned into a dress, ideal for back-to-school/autumn inspired by the Victorian era (but in version 2.0): a small pleated collar, a structured and neat cut, comfortable to wear, soft and romantic as hell!
With Fanny, we said to ourselves that we would ideally need an evolutionary pattern along 2 axes:
* on the one hand depending on the season so that the garment can be sewn in both summer and winter.
* And evolutionary on the difficulty with easy versions and accessible to all and more advanced versions with advantages of details therefore more techniques.
Rest assured: there is a great novelty at @ikatte to make the most technical points as accessible as possible with the....! We will come back to it ;)
The very nice surprise is that by using Fanny's initial drawings , I decided to prepare not ONE pattern, but TWO! To choose was to give up, it seems ;)
Next? We redesigned two models together from the 1st inspi and sketches.
Objective: to transpose the Victorian blouse into our era and especially into our universe, adjust the proportions to combine style and comfort, imagine the finishes, assemble the first prototypes and correct, then choose the sewing and assembly methods...
Thus were born... Louise & Ida!
In photo, a moment that we love: choosing the materials / colors to sew the different models...
and very very soon? we show you Ida...
