Internship - Logistics Operator
- 4 to 6 month internship
- Position based at 34 quai Saint Vincent in Lyon.
- Legal compensation. 50% public transport coverage. Kitchen available on site. Meal vouchers.
Founded in 2016, ikatee is a brand of sewing pattern designers for women, children, and babies. We also sell fabrics and haberdashery items. A rapidly expanding company, Ikatee already has 6 dynamic and creative employees! Specializing in e-commerce, we distribute our products through our e-shops ( https://ikatee.fr/ and https://ikatee.com/ ) and our network of resellers worldwide (over 300 stores).
Our workshop-boutique, located on the banks of the Saône River in the heart of Lyon, is a very pleasant and friendly workspace. What we love: the energy and operational efficiency. As part of a temporary increase in activity, we are looking for help with our logistics platform.
Missions
Reporting to the Sales and Operations Manager, you work in collaboration with the Logistics Assistant.
Your mission is focused on 3 areas:
Shipping / order preparation
As part of our e-commerce business, dozens of orders leave our workshop every day. We promise to ship them within 48 hours.
- editing the picking list
- order preparation (picking / checking / packing)
- shipping orders via our shipping label editing software
Delivery management
Shipping means receiving goods. Every week, we receive deliveries of sewing patterns, fabrics, haberdashery, and more.
- receive deliveries
- control deliveries
- put away deliveries
- identify new features
- communicate deliveries with marketing and billing
Inventory management
- carry out the daily inventory of identified references
- monitor stock levels and report imminent stock shortages
- monitor the stock of shipping consumables (envelopes, boxes, etc.) in order to launch restocking
- keep the shipping area and storage area tidy
These missions may evolve depending on your skills and your appetite for improving logistics performance. We are very open to changes that can allow us to become more efficient. All relevant ideas will be listened to and implemented! Our supply chain has significant room for improvement.
SKILLS
You enjoy operational efficiency. You are rigorous, curious, resourceful, and have a good sense of initiative. You are not afraid of change, and you enjoy working in a dynamic environment with a strong focus on business performance. You enjoy working in a team.
You are physically fit and are not afraid of carrying reasonably heavy loads.
Previous experience in logistics would be a plus.
