Velvet is an autumnal material, soft, velvety and which allows beautiful creations from children's sewing patterns.
There are different weights and rib widths. Wide ribs can be loose but are not suitable for real gathers. It is then preferable to use milleraies velvet to gather a dress for example
For large ribs (even soft), we recommend a sewing pattern for coats, jackets or a sewing pattern for straight pants, shorts (even if the waist will be adjustable or elasticated)
Velvet is easy to care for. You just have to remember to cut the pieces of the garment in the same direction to avoid changing color effects depending on the direction of the pile of the velvet.
Children's and babies' patterns for velvet
