I had made the Stella dress with a rolled gold lamé on the ruffles. During the CSF show, many of you asked me how to achieve this finish. On this, Artesane asks me in December to participate in the glitter challenge, a nice contest which consists of personalizing your outfits by illuminating them or making them shine with a thousand lights.

Sublimate a garment with little nothings that often do almost everything...it was then obvious for ikatee that I had to explain to you with a tutorial the gold lamé finish.

Tadaaa! Here's how to do it in a few pictures! You "just" need a serger... even a small, basic, inexpensive one, and presto, we do this rolled up straight away, nothing too bad.

You also need a FUJIX lamé foam yarn (a Japanese brand) that you can find among others on the site http://mamzellefourmi.com/fil-mousse-uni/5846-fil-mousse-lame-noir-or.html
The selling price is around 10€ per serger cone spool
You have lots of different colors in lamé silver, gold, or copper…

Select 3-thread rolled edge.

You put this lame thread in the upper looper of your serger
You use tone-on-tone colored threads with the garment for the other threads (lower looper and needle)
That's it... Here's something to easily decorate your creation.
