The release of the @ikatee x @petiteschoses patterns is imminent...
We have just enough time to introduce you to Louise...
Ah Louise... So of course, we find the little collar that is common to our theme: the Victorian era! (collar which, as for Ida, is not mandatory in our pattern)
Apart from this collar, it consists of a pointed yoke on the front, and straight on the back; gathers on the front as on the back, and a button placket all the way up the back.
Then, it's up to you to compose your Louise because several variations are possible. Concentrate well, let's go!
* Louise is a blouse available in a dress.
* It can also be sewn WITH or WITHOUT a collar.
A collar like Ida? And no! This one is "double" with a ruffle above the collar stand and a ruffle below... Go ahead, zoom in on the technical drawing, we love it!!
* Sleeve side: 2 options. You can opt for the elegant long sleeve that ends in a small, slightly tightened cuff (with gathers, cuffs and the tear-proof slit like on mom's blouses!). Otherwise, more summery and relaxed: short, gathered sleeves all fluttering!
* Finally, in long-sleeved version: you have the choice between:
- a ruffle on the back
- or small ruffles on the shoulders: they are discreet, thin and oriented inwards...
- or you can also choose not to add ruffles at all!
We counted: 16 possible versions for Louise!! Enough to mix the options in order to obtain different styles but also to wear Louise Summer and Winter!
The sewing level?
Louise is an "upgradable" boss:
- If you are a beginner, we advise you to start with the short-sleeved version, dress or blouse but without the collar. It is simple and fast for a great result! Then you can make the pattern again with more technical variations: first the long sleeve (we promise you, the ripstop slits are easy, ideal for getting started), then the ruffles, and finally the collar
- If you regularly sew but have never tried the following technical points: fitting a tear-proof slit at the wrist / fitting a collar; so know that the step by step is of course illustrated but above all, @ikatee has prepared a video for you showing all the steps!
