Ikatee offers the Grand'Ourse model in faux fur-lined suede. A super-comfortable material (it's stretchy), super warm, and super easy to work with and care for (it can be washed on a wool cycle).

This is a very quick seam...I was asked for some advice; so I prepared a short article on the subject for you.

1) Report the pattern

You must transfer the pattern to the suede side (the pieces are symmetrical so everything is fine). This material does not require hemming or overcasting... You can leave the edges cut raw. Remove the "stuffing" from the fleece by hand, but after that it does not move.

Buttonhole tip: Since suede doesn't fray, cut a slit in the fabric and reinforce the two ends with a small back-and-forth stitch.

Finally, save even more time...the seam allowances do not need to be trimmed (7mm of allowances will not have a significant impact on the model)

2) Sewing
We stitch the pieces right side against right side with the hairs that will touch the feed dogs of the machine... If your machine has a good drive (a good motor that drives well), it goes through by itself. If it snags a little, then we put thin paper like tissue paper (we often get a lot of it in stores when buying) between the feed dogs of the machine and the "towel". The tissue paper will be sewn too but then we tear it off easily and we can reuse the paper several times. The trick to use as soon as a fabric snags a little.

And there you have it, it's finished! As I was telling you...it's super simple and super fast! And for the mittens, the tutorial can be found here .
