We are very happy to present EUGÈNE , our new accessory pattern. Backpack in 3 sizes or satchel, Eugène will accompany the family in everyday activities!
Particular care has been taken with the finishing and assembly to obtain a beautiful and practical bag:
- Full interior lining
- Clever interior storage: compartmentalized pockets and large padded pocket for tablet or laptop
- Exterior pockets, one zipped and the other elasticated for the water bottle
- Wide zippered opening
- Handles to be carried by hand
- Adjustable straps for carrying on the back
- Optional adjustable and removable shoulder strap for a satchel look
Eugene is available in either cover or PDF format , with the projectable file included in the PDF version for those using the pattern projection technique.

Get ready for Eugène's sewing by watching our video tutorial starting Tuesday, which will guide you through the assembly of your backpack or shoulder bag.
The sewing level is intermediate to advanced. With Eugène, you will learn how to assemble a full lining, zippers, straps, and handles.
Choice of materials
Warp and weft fabrics: medium to heavy weight (250-400g/m2) such as gabardine or canvas, denim, corduroy, wool, imitation leather or leather. Or, lighter, honeycomb, linen or ribstop (nylon, parachute fabric) for a "soft bag" effect to be reinforced with more or less thick fleece. Lining in fine cotton canvas such as poplin or polyester lining.
