Fabrics & Supplies
- Fabric suggestions
- Body, sleeves, and outer collar: fleece, sherpa, softshell, sweatshirt fabric, denim or heavy corduroy, wool fabric.
- Pockets and inner collar: lightweight nylon fabric, pinwale corduroy, flannel, poplin.
- Materials
- Standard or elastic binding
- Lightweight fusible interfacing
- Separating molded plastic, metal, or nylon zipper (coil zipper) for the front opening.
- Optional for zippered patch pockets: non-separating molded plastic, metal, or nylon zipper, or zipper by the yard.
Designed to be sewn in a knit fabric (fleece, sherpa, sweatshirt fabric, etc.), this pattern is also suitable for woven fabrics.
Zippers: prioritize zippers of the correct length. Otherwise, choose a slightly shorter zipper for the center front and slightly longer zippers for the pocket openings.
