Poplins - Batist - Satins fabrics

Poplin is a simple, elegant fabric with a beautiful sheen. Soft and lightweight, this fabric remains dense and durable.

Plumetis is a cotton voile with small raised dots.

Both fabrics are easy to sew and iron, and can be worn in both summer and winter. With its smooth texture, fluidity and lightness, poplin is the ideal fabric for making blouses and shirts such as Stockholm or Sakura, Okinawa or Louise. You can also make yourself pyjamas like Budapest or a dress like Anna Mum. The possibilities are endless.

We also often recommend using poplin for linings, for example on accessories such as Bristol. Finally, the softness of this fabric makes it a very suitable choice for making many items of clothing for babies and children.

In terms of care and sewing, poplin is easy to work with: it shrinks very little in the wash, is easy to wash at 40°C, and can even be tumble dried (at a low temperature, please!) for the more adventurous.
