SYDNEY baby romper paper pattern
Sydney is a unisex baby romper pattern. This pattern features a crotch opening and a partial button placket on the front. It's available in a sleeveless or long-sleeved version. The design also offers multiple options: a ruffled neckline, a Peter Pan collar, and an elasticated waistband.

What you will learn with this pattern: sew a partial button placket, add elasticated thigh casings and a crotch gusset, finish with a clean strip, and partially elasticate the waist.

- Woven fabrics: poplin, batiste, gauze, lightweight denim, Tencel, viscose, linen, broderie anglaise, plumetis
- Knits: jersey, interlock, openwork knit
- Supplies
- 6 press studs and/or buttons 9-12mm (3 for the front button placket and 3 for the crotch opening)
- 1cm elastic (for the thighs, cuffs and waist)
- Thin fusible interfacing (for the button placket and gussets)
The amount of fabric required can be reduced if bias binding is used instead of facing strips or if the facing strips are cut from a different fabric. To calculate the amount of elastic required, add up the different amounts depending on the options chosen.
