JASMIN children's sweatshirt and dress papers sewing pattern

Jasmin is a unisex sweatshirt and dress pattern for children. The fit is loose and comfortable, with dropped shoulders. Optional ruffles can be added to the armholes. The lower body, cuffs, and collar are finished with ribbing. Sewn in jersey, the pattern can be used as a loose-fitting T-shirt or nightgown.
A simple and quick basic to make that will accompany your child in summer and winter.

What you will learn with this pattern: add ribbing to the neckline, cuffs and bottom of the body, and add ruffles to the armholes.

Fabrics & Supplies

    Fabric suggestions
  • Knit: sweatshirt fabric, French terry, jersey, ribbing
    Supplies
  • Colored boucle thread or contrasting regular thread to create a tight overlock stitch at the edge of the ruffles

You can replace the ribbing with the main fabric at the cuffs and hem if the main fabric contains elastane.
